Our community was intentionally designed by founding residents including founders, Katie McCamant and Chuck Durrett, who provided both design and development services, acting as the project architects and the developer. Chuck can be found at Durrett Architects, and Katie can be found at CoHousing Solutions. The buildings and grounds are designed to encourage encourage neighborly interaction using sustainable and energy-efficient design practices.
There are 34 indivudually-owned homes in our community ranging from 2 bedroom/ 1 bath flats to 4 bedroom/3 bedroom 2 story townhomes. Each fully equiped home is filled with natural light, and comfortable all year round. Buildings have excellent insullation, with thick walls, eaves, double paned windows, radiant heat, solar photovoltaic power, whole house fans, solar heating and passive cooling.
Our homes were built with low toxic building materials, and almost no clear cut lumber (FSC certified). Advanced framing was used which meant 25-40% less lumber was used to build the same square footage and less than half the lumber was used for a typical new house
Members pay a monthly Homeowners Association fee based on the size of their home.
